PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE ANNUAL OREGON SOCIETY MEETING IN HILLSBORO.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and collaborate with SAR Compatriots from around Oregon, elect Oregon Society officers for the coming year and recognize the accomplishments in the Society. ZOOM participation will be available if you cannot attend in person.

KEYNOTE PRESENTER: John Adams will visit and reflect on declaring independence & the Revolution. Compatriot Mike Lebsock plays the role of John Adams. Mike teaches history at Zumwater Middle School in Beaverton, is a DAR & SAR History Teacher if the Year, faculty member of the Williamsburg Institute for Hisotry Teachers. Mike specializes in colonial and revolutionary history of the United States.

9:30am: Color Guard muster
10:00am: Call to Order, Opening Ceremony, Introductions & Greetings
10:30am: Oregon Society Business Meeting: Awards & Recognitions. election of officers, reports
12:00pm : Social Time & Luncheon ($50 for the Buffet Luncheon)
12:45pm: Keynote Speaker: John Adams: Reflections on Independence & the Revolution
1:30pm: Closing Ceremony
1:45pm: Adjournment

Recommended Attire: Sport coat & tie, chapter vest, or Colonial Era attire. We will have several militia hunting frocks available at the meeting.

You may still support the memorial & honor you ancestors. Donate $17.76 to the Oregon Revolutionary War Memorial and a flag with your ancestor's name and service will be displayed in a Colony of Liberty Trees at the dedication on April 19th. Click this link for Details.
